But with Maya he never growled or picked a fight and she was always good to him. Although I avoided socializing him for a while, as soon as he was reunited with Maya inside the dog run, it was as if he never had aggression issues. He’s much better now but every time I think back to those weeks following his tough surgery (he had to go under twice and then rushed to the emergency clinic when the bleeding wouldn’t stop), I feel terrible… as if I didn’t make the right decision for him. Instead of a cocker spaniel, there was a jumbo size chihuahua with floppy ears in front of us begging us to take him home.
